How to rent a property through Rental Heroes
Moving can sometimes be stressful––and a confusing rental process can definitely add to that stress. At Rental Heroes, we keep our rental process stress-free, transparent, and as easy as possible for our tenants.
Continue reading as we explain our rental process, step by step.
Step #1: Find a rental property
To find a property you’d like to rent, simply go to the Rent tab on our website and browse the available properties for rent.
These property listings will contain detailed photos and descriptions of the unit, location, and amenities to help you find the best fit.
Step #2: Apply to rent your selected property
After browsing our available properties and selecting one you’re interested in, simply click “Apply Now”.
The application fee is $50.00 for each adult over the age of 18 residing in the property.
After you apply, we perform a comprehensive tenant screening including:
- A background check
- Credit check
- National eviction history check
- Employment and income verification
- Prior rental verification
We also have minimum income and credit score requirements. If you have any questions regarding our application fee or the application in general, be sure to contact us and we will gladly assist you.
Step #3: Your tenancy is approved
Once your tenancy is approved, you will be contacted by one of your leasing agents with directions on what to do next.
Prior to moving in, you will need to provide your leasing agent or property manager with a cashier’s check or money order for the first full month’s rent along with any prorated amount. You will also need to provide the security deposit, lease administration fee of $150, and any applicable pet fees and/or deposit.
To make the payment process as easy as possible, you also have the option to make electronic cash payments.
Step #4: Sign the contract
The rental or lease agreement will outline the responsibilities of the lessor and the lessee and include basic information and specific rules and regulations each party needs to adhere to.
Our standard lease agreement is for 12 months, and after the initial 12 month lease, we may offer you a lease renewal.
Step #5: Move in and enjoy your new home!
We want you to be very happy in your new rental property! To make life as easy as possible, we provide a tenant portal where you can view your information at any time and request maintenance services with ease.
